How wide, long, high and deep.

Ephesians 3:14-19 "When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the father, the creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soul of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

As many of you know, my husband has cancer. It has taken me a long time to even say that word in relation to my husbands name. I guess none of us ever imagine that we may have to associate any kind of illness with ourselves or someone we love, but when we do the whirl wind of emotion starts and many times a confusion, doubt and a certain lack of confidence creeps into our hearts.

Paul's prayer for us in the scripture abouve is that Christ will be more and more at home in our hearts....AS WE TRUST HIM...... That our roots would go down deep into the soul of God's marvelous love, This past month, this has been my prayer, that I/we,  all have a deeper understanding of how God really loves us. If we can grasp  how wide, long, high and deep He will go and invest in us right now, today,  when cancer comes, when tough financial times hit, when relationships are hard, Paul's writes we will have the ability to  receive the power and fullness of life that is promised in this scripture!

I believe we ALL need to have  a deep understanding of this kind of love and experience the fullness that it can bring. We will never be sure of what tomorrow will has in store, life is a journey, it is a mystery, it is joy, an adventure, and sometimes brings sadness and heart ache. But what we can be sure of is God's depth and his Word's promises to us!

Thank you to all that have been praying for, hoping with, and loving us!!

Blessings for your Heart's song. Maryann

Questions bring clarity

Hi,
I have been thinking about this New Years Revelation....what is it that I would like to accomplish for the New Year? There is always the looming weight issue, the desire to grow my Life Coaching, the wanting to be a better mom thing and simply to pursue peace and live a life full of it.

In all of these things, like I mentioned in my last post, I don't want to make just another resolution, but I want a revelation in these things. Asking ourselves some questions about the things we want to accomplish rather than making demands on ourselves, and possibly feeling failure if they don't happen seems much more productive to me. Some thought provoking questions to ask could be:

1. What would my life look like if I were to accomplish this?
2. Do I have fear in and around this thing? If so, what is it and what does it say to or about me?
3. Who else will it affect in my life if I accomplish this?
4. What is the true motive behind why I want to accomplish this? Be very honest!

Ask God to show you focus in the things that you would like to see a change in...he will be faithful.

I hope your heart is singing today!

New Years Revelations

I would like to challenge you with a new, New Years resolution....don't do it!! For years I have made resolutions that by February 1st I failed miserably. In the last 3 years I have discovered that part of the reason for that was because I made the resolutions unattainable, to big, overwhelming and sometimes unrealistic. I want to talk more about this in the next week, but for now lets take a first step by making our resolutions revelations! By this I mean we need to dig in, really think about the what and the why of the resolutions your are striving for. Get very focused and defined, and begin with 1 or 2, not 5 or 6. I challenge you to begin by being good to yourself, setting goals that make sense in your busy schedule and giving yourself permission to take a step, not a leap!! I am a believer that revelations are much more fun and fulfilling than a resolution can ever be!

What is your Hearts' Song saying?
Good night:)
